This course aims to investigate the various theoretical and analytical frameworks in the field of international relations. In an increasingly interdependent world where the new world order is yet to be established with the rise of China, a review of the dominant paradigms in international relations will facilitate a better understanding among students of the transformation of global order and power transition in the world.
The weekly class will be divided into three moments: a lecture, an interactive exchange (town-hall style debates, quizzes, cartoons, videos, discussion of a text) and a seminar. Students are required to finish all the weekly reading assignments on time and to present an oral presentation in shift. Active participation in the seminars, including asking questions, discussion and response to questions posed by the others is requested and will be evaluated
